For his birthday today, I got my friend Erik a lovely baker’s dozen from my favorite cupcake spot: Hotcakes. Perhaps its convenient location is a deciding factor, but this little joint beats the big dogs in my book. Their red velvet is the sshhhhhh… Pictured here is their Boston Cream Pie.
